Credit and Return Policies for Business CustomersLATEst IDEas Inc is happy to establish a 30-day credit privilege for new business customers who purchase products or services from the company. New business customers are not required to demonstrate credit worthiness before issuing purchase orders for the company’s products unless the wholesale value of the goods purchased by the customer exceeds $10,000. In the event that a customer fails to pay an invoice within thirty days of the invoice date, LATEst IDEas will contact the customer about each past-due invoice before taking any action that affects the customer’s access to credit. When a customer fails to pay past-due invoices promptly after being notified, LATEst IDEas will temporarily suspend the customer’s credit privileges until all past-due invoices have been paid. If a customer frequently abuses its 30-day credit privilege, that customer’s credit privileges will be revoked, and the customer will be required to pay for all goods before they are shipped or services before they are rendered. Re-establishment of credit with LATEst IDEas will require a written guarantee that all future invoices will be paid within 30-days of the invoice date. An officer of the customer’s company who has authorization to commit funds must sign the guarantee. When an invoice remains unpaid ninety days after the invoice date, LATEst IDEas will declare the account delinquent and will initiate legal action to recover the balance owed. For those customers who purchase goods for re-sale, LATEst IDEas will accept returns of unsold merchandise for 180 days after the invoice date, provided that (1) the original invoice for those items has already been paid; (2) the merchandise has not been opened, has not suffered any physical damage, or had the packaging modified; and (3) the number of items returned is at least five fewer than the number of items purchased. A Return Authorization approved by an officer of LATEst IDEas must accompany all returns. The customer is responsible for the shipping charges, and must ship returned merchandise by a traceable method. LATEst IDEas will not issue credit for returned merchandise unless it is delivered to the company’s warehouse in satisfactory condition. A re-stocking charge of 20% of the sale price is assessed for all returned items, which will be reflected in the credit memo issued to the customer. The minimum re-stocking charge is $25. Customer credits for overstock returns will only be applied to future purchases. When a customer having a credit balance fails to purchase goods from LATEst IDEas for one calendar year following the return of merchandise, LATEst IDEas will issue the customer a check for the amount of the credit balance. LATEst IDEas will replace defective products at no cost. For software products thought to be defective, LATEst IDEas requires certification as to the nature of the defect by an individual who is familiar with the software, usually the teacher who adopted the software.
